Modernism in theology

Scaliger researcher drs. Ch.E. Smit is working under supervision of prof. dr. E.G.E. van der Wall (Faculty of Theology) on an inventory project of brochures and pamphlets in the possession of the University Library, which deal with the discussion of modernism and restoration of Protestantism during the period 1840-1880.

Catalogue

A catalogue containing these items will be made available for research. Two lists with titles of brochures have now been published on the website of the Scaliger Institute (see PDF file below). In 2010, a symposium will be organised in the University Library on the topic 'Modernism in theology'. On this occasion, the catalogue will also appear in print.
