The Digital National Security Archive (DNSA) contains the most comprehensive set of declassified American government documents available. It can now be accessed online through our catalogue
The library has taken a trial of Worldwide Political Science Abstracts. This database will be available until the 11th of March 2013.
A new version of the main library Catalogue has been launched. Besides all the known functions the new Catalogue enables you to enhanced search on date range and influence the relevance ranking of your results.
The University Library is open as usual on Good Friday and Saturday 30 March, but closed over Easter. The other libraries are closed from 29 March to 1 April.

On the 6th of February 2013 the software of the university wireless network (LUWA/Eduroam) will be renewed. There might be some problems with gaining access to the network or you may notice some short interrupts with your connection to the network.
Leiden University Library has expanded her subscription to ProQuest Dissertations and Theses - Abstracts & Index with full-text access.

Due to the closure of the university libraries between Christmas and New Year's (except for the University Library) there will be delays in delivery of books that you request between 21 December and 1 January.
Starting Monday 20 August we will apply our normal opening hours again: the University Library and the Law Library will be open til late on weekdays and on Sundays throughout most of the academic year. The libraries' opening hours are different from regular hours over summer.
Due to the local celebration of the relief of Leiden, the libraries of Leiden University will be closed on 2 October from 18h00 and on 3 October (the entire day), with the exception of the Library Learning Centre Faculty Campus The Hague.
