LibraryThing in the Catalogue
With LibraryThing our Catalogue shows more information on books in our collection.
LibraryThing is a Web2.0 application, which allows people to catalogue (a part of) their bookshelves and to publish them on the internet and share them with other LibraryThing users. We’ve now linked LibraryThing to our Catalogue, which results in more information in the Metadata screen.
-
Similar Items: content-related titles from our collection; useful to find books on the same subject.
-
Related Items: Different editions or translations from our holdings: useful when the book you want to borrow has been lent out; a newer or older edition might be available.
-
Tags added by other readers: key words for the book added by other users, linked to titles in our Catalogue.
Not all of the books in our collection can be found in LibraryThing; most titles with extra information are in English. Combined with the existing link to Google Books we hope this additional information source for our Catalogue provides a lot of useful information on books in our collection.
