From Wikipedia to the Catalogue

Did you know that you can check availability of a work that is referred to in Wikipedia directly in Leiden University’s library catalogue? If Wikipedia refers to the ISBN of a work, you will find a link to more information about the possible availability at a selection of libraries, bookshops and other suppliers. You can click on each supplier to check availability. In case of Leiden University’s libraries, you are redirected to the relevant search result in the Catalogue.

ISB numbers are not available for each publication referred to in Wikipedia, but you find an example if you search Multatuli. If an ISBN in Wikipedia gives no results in the Catalogue, you can try searching the name of the author directly in the Catalogue. It is possible that the work is available under another ISBN (for example if Wikipedia refers to a pocket version when the libraries hold a hardcopy).
