Catalogues and portals

Possibilities for notification in catalogues such as Picarta and the Catalogue.

PiCarta

Picarta is a combined catalogue where you can find books as well as journals and journal articles.
Similarly to the Catalogue (tab Find Databases), you can store a search term and let the system run this search again at times set by you, to to see if new publications have been added to the catalogue.
Picarta will keep you informed about the results via e-mail.
To store a search profile, you need an ibl-account. You can obtain this account at the Library's desk.

Online Contents

Online Contents (OLC) contains the table of contents of over 15.000 journals of all disciplines. The file has been under construction since 1992, and 2 million title descriptions are added yearly. The journals are located in Dutch libraries and by clicking on the 'availability button' you can see in which libraries the item is held.
The alerting service can be set up in a similar fashion as Picarta and takes place via e-mail.
Again, before you can create a profile, you need to set up an  ibl-account  at the desk of the Legal Library.
The Online Contents database of almost 15.000 journals of all disciplines is subdivided into a number of databases sorted by subject.
